This Privacy Policy describes what data the Zalipoff browser extension ("the extension", "we") and the zalipoff.com website process, and how that data is used and protected.
In short
Zalipoff does not collect, transmit, or sell your personal data. Everything the extension needs to work is stored locally in your browser on your device and is never sent to our servers or anyone else's.
1. Data the extension processes
To perform its single purpose, helping you get back to work when you get distracted, the extension processes locally on your device:
- URLs and activity of open tabs: to detect that you are stuck on a distracting site. This data is analyzed in the browser at the moment of viewing and never leaves your device.
- Focus session statistics: session start/end times and the number of reminders shown.
- Settings: selected character, mode (soft/strict), your list of distracting sites, interface language.
All of the above is kept in the browser's local storage (chrome.storage.local) and is accessible only to you.
2. What we do NOT do
- We do not collect or store browsing history on any server.
- We do not collect personal data: name, email, IP address, location, or device identifiers.
- We do not read or store the content of pages you visit (text, forms, passwords, payment details).
- We do not use cookies, trackers, or third-party analytics inside the extension.
- We do not share or sell data to third parties in any form.
- We do not show ads.
3. Extension permissions and why they are needed

Permissions are used solely for the extension's stated single purpose and nothing else.
4. The zalipoff.com website
The website is an informational page and requires no registration. It contains no personal data collection forms. Our hosting provider may automatically keep standard technical logs (IP address, browser type, request time) for security and reliability purposes.
5. Data retention and deletion
All extension data lives only on your device. You can delete it at any time by:
- uninstalling the extension (data is removed automatically), or
- clearing the extension's data in your browser settings.
We have no data deletion requests to process because we hold no user data.
6. Children
The extension is not directed at children and does not collect data from any users, including children.
7. Chrome Web Store compliance
Our use of information received via browser APIs complies with the Chrome Web Store Program Policies, including the Limited Use requirements: data is used only to provide the user-facing feature described above, is never transferred to third parties, and is never used for advertising.
8. Changes to this policy
If our data practices change, we will update this page and the effective date. Material changes will be announced via the extension's Chrome Web Store listing or an in-extension notice.
